Emergency loans in Florida
An honest account of the timing: the application is online and can be completed in a sitting, but funds move by ACH after a human underwriter’s final review, which typically means 1–2 business days after you e-sign. If you need money within the hour, this product cannot do that.
What "fast" actually means here
The application, identity verification, and bank connection happen immediately. Automated underwriting runs against your verified income and cash flow. Every approval is then reviewed by a person before funds move, and the transfer itself is a standard ACH credit — which settles on banking days, not weekends or federal holidays.
That is slower than a storefront cash advance and much cheaper than one. It is the trade this product makes.
Before you borrow for an emergency
Ask the biller for an extension or a payment plan first. Utilities, medical providers, and landlords all have processes for this, and none of them charge 30% APR.
Check whether Florida or your county runs an assistance program for the specific expense — utility relief, rental assistance, and disaster aid all exist and none of them have to be repaid.
If the shortfall is under $2,000, this is not the right product; the minimum loan we write is $2,000 and borrowing more than you need in an emergency is how a one-month problem becomes a two-year one.
What it costs
The same terms apply whatever the loan is for: 28.99%–35.99% APR depending on amount and underwriting, 12-month terms, no prepayment penalty.
| Loan amount | APR | Term | Monthly payment | Finance charge | Total of payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $2,000 | 35.99% | 12 mo | $200.91 | $410.92 | $2,410.92 |
| $3,500 | 33.99% | 12 mo | $348.11 | $677.32 | $4,177.32 |
| $5,000 | 31.99% | 12 mo | $492.34 | $908.08 | $5,908.08 |
| $7,500 | 28.99% | 12 mo | $727.43 | $1,229.16 | $8,729.16 |
| $10,000 | 28.99% | 12 mo | $969.91 | $1,638.92 | $11,638.92 |
Representative examples only, not an offer of credit. Each row assumes a 12-month term, on-time payments, and the APR StrideFi currently quotes at that amount; your APR, term, and payment depend on underwriting. Interest accrues daily on the unpaid principal balance, so paying early reduces the finance charge below the figure shown, and paying late increases it. There is no prepayment penalty.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I get funds the same day?
- No. Funds move by ACH after approval and e-signing, typically arriving within 1–2 business days depending on your bank. We do not offer same-day or instant funding.
- Do you offer payday loans?
- No. StrideFi writes installment loans of $2,000–$10,000 repaid in fixed monthly instalments under Florida Chapter 516. A Florida payday loan (deferred presentment) is a different product under a different chapter, capped at a much smaller amount and repaid in weeks.
- Is approval guaranteed if I have income?
- No. Approval depends on underwriting, which reviews identity, bank-verified income and cash flow, and credit-risk data — and every approval is reviewed by a person. No lender can guarantee approval, and one that advertises guaranteed approval is not describing a real credit product.
Other reasons people borrow
StrideFi is an online lender — we have no branch locations. Loans made by Stride Financial LLC under the Florida Consumer Finance Act (Chapter 516) to Florida residents statewide. Amounts from $2,000 to $10,000; APR 28.99%–35.99%; terms up to 12months; no prepayment penalty. Approval, loan amount, APR, and term depend on underwriting, including identity, income, and bank-account verification — not every applicant qualifies, and applying is not a guarantee of credit. Funding times depend on your bank's ACH processing.
